The Croixstone team welcomed to our offices yesterday entrepreneur and life-long adventurer Chad Olcott. Chad is the founder of Parallel Adventures, a boutique firm offering curated, small-group international adventure travels.
So why did we spend time with our team during business hours to talk about leisure travel?
For starters, many scientists and researchers believe travel has the power to change our brains. Columbia Business School’s Adam Galinsky, a psychologist and Ted Talk speaker, says that travel can change the way we approach the world, leaving us more flexible and open. Travel enhances creativity as our brains are influenced by new environments and experiences. A brain’s cognitive flexibility is its ability to bounce between a variety of ideas, which is essential for creativity.
Croixstone believes that travel increases how flexibly we think, and it can help us connect the dots between concepts at a much deeper level. In short, travel fuels innovation which is the lifeblood of a thriving business.
